Islay single malt with a touch of the tropics! Released by Mac-Talla to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2024, this 2009 vintage single malt was initially matured for 10 years in bourbon barrels, followed by a five-year stay in Caribbean rum casks, bringing heaps of juicy, caramelised tropical fruit character to the oak char and vanilla beneath. It's bottled at a cask strength 53.7% ABV.
Butterscotch, oak char, honey, candied apricots, and salty peat smoke.
Salted caramel, banana foam sweets, beach bonfire, and cinnamon.
Maritime salinity and tropical fruit.
Very drinkable. Tastes like a mixture of Springbank and Lilt from the 1990s... Moreish...easy to drink the whole thing.
