This Longrow single malt has been aged for seven years in ex-bourbon casks before a further four years in Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Red fruits of cherries and raspberries with a hint of Prosciutto and smoke.

Palate Peat, leather and salt in classic Longrow style with some black berries for a vinous background.

Finish The finish is long, lingering and coastal with stewing red fruits on the tail.

Overall This is a superb Longrow that offers all of the coastal peatiness you could want with the complexity of a wine cask finish.

Excellent Whisky
Great Whisky, heavely peated and what a great taste. Lovely finish of red fruit and toffees. Whisky is distilled@springbank in Campbeltown and not J and A Mitchell.

Patience is the key..
When I bought this a year ago I was originally disappointed, the sprint tasted one dimensional and felt there was something missing. I left it a year and only revisited it last weekend and I have to say a year after the bottle was opened has done wonders for the spirit, has a lovely candied finish and the red fruits are a joy on the palate.

This is an excellent example of what is so special about Scotch Whisky. Combining peat cabernet wine cask is a combination so unusual but works so well.

Superb complex Longrow
This is a very moreish Longrow. the influence of the Cab Sav casks really works well. Try the Shiraz finish too. excellent stuff!
