Longmorn 24 Year Old 1990 (cask 191954) - Single Malts of Scotland (Speciality Drinks)
Bottled in August 2015 this Longmorn single malt was matured in a single hogshead for 24 years (very nearly 25, having been filled in September 1990). This is a distillery that has many 'in the know' fans, but you may be used to plenty of Sherry - this bottling shows off the distillery character that's so important to all their single malts.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich barley, dried grass, linseed, shortbread, cedar with touches of jam, mixed peels, mead and melon.
Palate
Malt, rye toast and pastries, more melon as well as vanilla and green apple.
Finish
Buttered toast.
Overall
Longmorn, naked and malty.
