Nose: Unusual and interesting - an 'old book' library dust whisky with fromage notes. After a while more expected aromas of toffee and red fruits come through, with rocket leaf and almond.
Palate: Fruits get darker - blackcurrant, fig and prune, with cinnamon and more nuttiness too. Chocolate Digestive biscuit and poppy seed bread notes come through at the end.
Finish: Long and peppery, with a pleasing hint of blackcurrant jam on toast.
Overall: An atypical Longmorn - the joy of single cask whisky!
