Longmorn 12 Year Old 2011 (cask 1722) - Lady of the Glen (Hannah Whisky Merchants)

Released as part of the Lady of the Glen collection from independent bottler Hannah Whisky Merchants, it's a 12-year-old single malt Scotch from Longmorn. Distilled in 2011, the whisky was initially filled into a refill butt before finishing its maturation in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. A total of 326 bottles were drawn from the cask in 2023.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Sweet, honeyed sponge cake studded with juicy sultanas, a touch of ginger, and chocolatey malt.

Palate

A fruity start with juicy pear, grapes, and barley, leading to cakey spice and rich oak.

Finish

Vanilla shortbread, toasted fruit loaf, a hint of citrus, and a dusting of pepper.
