Description
A Rare Auld Longmorn from Duncan Taylor. Cask strength and non-chillfiltered with a wild, mountainous character. This is an interesting dram and no mistake.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green at first sniff with lots of oak, apples, kiwis, lime, grapefruits, green tea, and hints of cedar box and shoe polish. More and more tannins, freshly broken limestone. This is quite wild.
Palate
Strong, very lemony and oaky, fizzy and green. Sauvignon blanc, plus a little vanilla from the oak but not that sweet.
Finish
Rather long and lemony as expected, just a tad drying.
Overall
A very interesting whisky with a dry characterful flavour.
