Loch Lomond
Scotland
Single Malt
A special bottling from Loch Lomond, named after Royal Portrush Golf Club and released as part of the distillery’s The Open Course Collection. Loch Lomond has claimed the title of the official whisky of The Open, and created this bottling series in collaboration with 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke. The 19 year old single malt was left to mature in American oak casks and enjoyed a finishing period in claret wood casks.
Honeyed cereal and freeze-dried raspberries, with honey sponge cake as well.
Ripe, crunchy apples, tart berries, blackberry jam, floral honey and overripe tropical fruit, reminiscent of pear drops.
Earthy oaky notes, oak spice and tangy sweet pineapple.
