Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition Distiller's Cut
The limited edition 2019 Open Special Edition from Loch Lomond was created to celebrate the distillery's partnership with the golf championship. This Distiller's Cut was created by master blender Michael Henry, and has been aged in three types of American oak cask before bottling at 46% ABV. Rather appropriately, the grassy green presentation box is adorned with all kinds of golfing paraphernalia, to get you in the spirit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Peaches and vanilla cream, apple crumble and vanilla pod.
Palate
Sweet floral honey, orange blossom, apricot and peach sweeties, maple syrup over pancakes and vanilla oak.
Finish
A hint of smoke appears, as peaches return on the finish alongside ripe apples and pears.
