Inchmurrin 23 Year Old 1996 (cask 29) - Cask Collection (A.D. Rattray)
A top Highland whisky from Loch Lomond, released under the Inchmurrin name by A.D. Rattray! The single malt was distilled in August 1996 and whacked straight into a single sherry butt, where it rested for over two decades. It was was bottled for the cask collection at 23 years old in September 2019, with an outturn of 305 bottles at 62.3% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caramelised nuts, marzipan and cinnamon butter.
Palate
Waxy vanilla, apricot jam and hints of dry smoky tea, with a touch of oak char.
Finish
Burnt brown sugar and cigar box.
