Inchmurrin 22 Year Old 1998 (cask 1) - Lady of the Glen (Hannah Whisky Merchants)
Indie Inchmurrin, as we like to say when... Well, when we get an independent bottling of Loch Lomond single malt released under the Inchmurrin name. Would be odd to say it in other situations. If you're at a birthday party and you just shout "Indie Inchmurrin!", people will be rightfully confused. Anyway, this is a 22 year old Inchmurrin, distilled in 1998 and aged initially in a hogshead before being finished in an Oloroso sherry hogshead. A fab Lady of the Glen release, with an outturn of 225 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Mince pie filling and fruity cake, with underlying cedar and liquorice.
Palate
Still packing cakey, fruity, spicy notes galore, though now with a hint of tobacco alongside.
Finish
Clove, cinnamon, and shortbread.
