Croftengea 9 Year Old 2010 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
Smoky single malt from Loch Lomond, released under the Croftengea name and independently bottled by Càrn Mòr. This release from the Strictly Limited series was distilled in 2010 and matured in a pair of hogshead casks until 2020, when it was bottled at 47.5% ABV with an outturn of 750 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Enjoyably grass and herbal on the nose with savoury basil and thyme, followed by a hint of burning heather and toasted brown sugar.
Palate
Peppery peat and black tea, plus caramelised almonds and clean orange.
Finish
Fruitcake, salted butter and lasting mineral-rich smoke.
