To commemorate 250 years since its founding, Littlemill has bottled up this astonishing single malt, and at 45 years old, it's the distillery's oldest release to date. Littlemill's master blender Michael Henry collaborated with renowned Austrian photographer Stephan Sappert, connected by the passion, preservation, history, and traditions of each other's craft to create this impressive expression.
Distilled in 1976, the whisky spent its final six months finishing in first-fill oloroso sherry hogsheads, before being filled into hand-blown Glencairn crystal decanters. The presentation of this release takes inspiration from the design of Victoria era cameras, still used by Sappert in his work. Each piece is accompanied by a glass plate photograph of the banks of the river Clyde, close by to the site of the original Littlemill distillery, individually numbered and signed by the photographer. Each set also comes complete with a 50ml miniature tasting bottle.
