A splendid 16-year-old single malt from Linkwood, independently bottled by North Star Spirits. This well-sherried Speysider spent its entire maturation in a single oloroso cask between 2006 and 2022, after which a total of 223 bottles were released.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Plum jam, sticky toffee, and drying kitchen herbs, with notes of forest fruits and dried citrus joining in time.
Palate
Soft orchard fruits, apricot, and pear, with set honey and a hint of fennel. Nutty malt and rich oak bring delicate spice.
Finish
More dried berries and stone fruits, oily malt, burnt brown sugar, and mixed sweet and savoury spice.
