A 25-year-old produced in Linkwood ‘B’ which uses condensers compared with the original Linkwood ‘A’ which has a cask iron worm tub.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Mint humbugs and lashings of toffee and crisp golden apples. A mild touch of fennel and salted liquorice. Lovely.
Palate
Soft trace of smoke, with a touch of engine oil and marshmallow milk chocolate, plus red cherries and raspberries.
Finish
Long lasting caramel and good quality caramel ice cream.
Overall
I could nose this all day – if it didn’t taste so good.
