Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite full with balanced oaked tannins and smoked ham. A touch of Fraise des Bois liqueur and notes of musty port. The palate is full and firm with notes of arak, dark toffee, vanilla spice and buttery oak. The finish is quite long and oaked with a touch of spice.

OK but not my favorite
My bottle had a lot of sulfur. Some people don't taste it but for me it's a pass.

Smooth, creamy raisins and spiced vanilla - hightly under-rated
Very smooth, deep, caramelized, creamy, complex, lingering finish with raisins, spiced vanilla notes - very under-rated. Buy it, savor it, and discover perfection at a very reasonable price.

The tast is rich and full, take your time while drinking and use your sences. It’s a great kind of joy when time is on your side.

Disappointing flavor.
Good, but not worth the price.

It's back! Grab it while you can
It's back! Grab it while you can... Spicy, fruity and interesting - it stands out in a sea of sherry bombs and sweet speysiders lacking depth and conviction. G&M have given it a fancier presentation as part of their new range. At £64 - up from £50ish last year I feel this is still great value due to its quality. A wonderful malt.

Unparalleled. A perfect dram.
Well it's said to be discontinued, the Bordershop in Puttgarden and Rostock still stocks cases of it. Thankfully. This must be not only one of the best ages for a whisky - if you like a bracing strength to your dram - but according to me, this is the most complex, balanced whisky one can buy. It's not cheap ($100) but absolutely delicious.

Gorgeous
Hard to believe this is discontinued. Will get the last other bottle in the shop. Amazing. Make more please. There are few pleasures.

The Perfect Speyside
I can only agree with the review from 22 April asking G&M if they are mad to discontinue this bottling!! A pearl of a Speyside: perfume, complex, bubblegum sugars, light and long with an elegance few can claim. Perhaps my favorite dram. To discontinue this bottling, as opposed to many to many others, is so sad. But, I found a few bottles to my delight, and I'm not telling where!

97.5 out of 100.
Discontinued?? Are you mad?! One of the absolute too choices. Complex, balanced, perhaps my favorite dram. Whomever discontinued this at G&M ought to be fired!
