Linkwood 15 G&M Bottling Note

Dark spice and strawberries abound this 15 year old from the Linkwood distillery.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite full with balanced oaked tannins and smoked ham. A touch of Fraise des Bois liqueur and notes of musty port. The palate is full and firm with notes of arak, dark toffee, vanilla spice and buttery oak. The finish is quite long and oaked with a touch of spice.

Linkwood 15 Year Old (Gordon & MacPhail) Reviews

It's back! Grab it while you can

It's back! Grab it while you can... Spicy, fruity and interesting - it stands out in a sea of sherry bombs and sweet speysiders lacking depth and conviction. G&M have given it a fancier presentation as part of their new range. At £64 - up from £50ish last year I feel this is still great value due to its quality. A wonderful malt.

Unparalleled. A perfect dram.

Well it's said to be discontinued, the Bordershop in Puttgarden and Rostock still stocks cases of it. Thankfully. This must be not only one of the best ages for a whisky - if you like a bracing strength to your dram - but according to me, this is the most complex, balanced whisky one can buy. It's not cheap ($100) but absolutely delicious.

Gorgeous

Hard to believe this is discontinued. Will get the last other bottle in the shop. Amazing. Make more please. There are few pleasures.

The Perfect Speyside

I can only agree with the review from 22 April asking G&M if they are mad to discontinue this bottling!! A pearl of a Speyside: perfume, complex, bubblegum sugars, light and long with an elegance few can claim. Perhaps my favorite dram. To discontinue this bottling, as opposed to many to many others, is so sad. But, I found a few bottles to my delight, and I'm not telling where!

97.5 out of 100.

Discontinued?? Are you mad?! One of the absolute too choices. Complex, balanced, perhaps my favorite dram. Whomever discontinued this at G&M ought to be fired!

Beautiful dram

Lovely spiced finished makes this easy drinking dram just the thing.

Nice Classic Speysider

This is a refreshing contrast to the now popular SHERRY BOMB styles. I have no great beef with the sherry bombs like A'bunadh, but it's nice to see a drier spicier take without losing the obvious sherry influence. More consistent than the sibling Mortlach bottling from G&M.

Chocolate, cereal, strawberries and pepper. That's what you get and it's delicious. I just can't see any whisky fan not liking this.

Really tasty!

Tried this at the Fiddich Side Inn, Craigellachie, during speyside whisky festival, probably my favorite dram that day.

One you have to try

Just had a bottle of this brought for my 61st yesterday and wow. What a fantastic nose, it took me sometime before I even contemplated sampling taking in the beautiful bouquet of stawberry's and toffies. The sampling was just as good, syrupy, spicy and smooth with a long lemony zesty finish. Well worth giving this a try, you will not be disappointed .
