Ledaig 32 Year Old 1972
A cask strength single malt from the Tobermory distillery, distilled in 1972 and finished in Oloroso Sherry butts. Ledaig is the name for peated whisky from the distillery on Mull, the name is pronounced 'led-chigg' and Ledaig releases are always well-received.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Full and rich. There is a gentle peat note with dry wood smoke and boiled sweets. Hints of estery fruits and menthol and iodine.
Palate
Quite smooth and well-balanced. There is a fullness and depth with notes of exotic fruit salad; guava and pineapple with hints of lemon marmalade and winter spice, ground ginger and cinnamon.
Finish
Of good length with winter spice.
