Laphroaig 32 Year Old 1991 - Mission Gold (Murray McDavid)
An Islay giant, matured for 32 years in American oak and bottled from a single cask – this is a Laphroaig with stories to tell. The smoke is still there, don’t worry, but it's now wrapped in salted sweetness and oaky sophistication. A bottle for the peat faithful who like their fire tempered by age. Just 262 bottles exist.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Campfire smoke, sea breeze, salted caramel shortbread.
Palate
Smoked toffee, iodine, burnt orange peel, honeyed oak.
Finish
Earthy peat, crushed seashells, dark chocolate ash.
