The very first batch of Laphroaig's 10 Year Old Cask Strength! Batch number one was originally released in February 2009, bottled at a robust 57.8% ABV.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Lots of smoke and iodine. Cold wood ash, hints of fruit, oily, charred wood, burnt rubber, oak. Very rich.

Palate Spices, peat, big, engulfing smoke. Some sweetness, then an insurgence of dry oak and coastal notes.

Finish Long with just a hint of fruit, resting more in the territory of smoky, oily, coastal notes.
