Swiss whisky here in the form of the latest Port Cask Finish from Langatun. This single cask expression was distilled in 2016 and then initially matured in a former chardonnay cask before being finished for two years in a former Port cask, no. 30, before being bottled in April 2022 at 49.1% ABV. It's housed in Langatun’s pretty decanter-style bottle with a smart wooden gift box.
Nose: Dried fruit, caramel, toasty oak, sweet tobacco, and nutmeg.
Palate: Stewed prunes, orange peel, brown sugar, vanilla, and aromatic spice.
Finish: Cedar, cocoa, and spiced fruit.
