The 2013 Fèis Ìle bottling from Lagavulin is sublime 18 year old selected by Iain McArthur distilled in 1995. A real highlight of the Islay whisky festival, 3,000 of these sherry matured bottles have been released.
This bottle was part of a private collection.

Nose: Intense Sherry is supported by sweet barley with more herbal notes developing.
Palate: Big, rich and precise with plenty of fruit. Simply fantastic.
Finish: Clean and fruity with elusive lingering notes.
Overall: Tremendous 'old sherry' whisky and probably the single best release of Fèis Ìle 2013.

I bought this whisky at Lagavulin in 2013 during a fantastic trip with my best Friends on Islay. We met Ian there. A great entertainer and an even better whisky master. I will never forget this whisky which I have opend at my wedding to celebrate with my friends. Thanks for this unforgettable experience and memory.
