The Matsui 5 Year Old Sakura Single Cask
This Japanese single malt hails from the Kurayoshi distillery in the foothills of Mt. Daisen. It spent five years maturing in a single cherry wood cask, resulting in a bouquet of toasted almond, marmalade, baked apple, and vanilla.

Nose
Baked orchard fruits, a touch of pastry, fresh melon, orange and lemon peels, buttercream, and delicate woody spice.
Palate
Zesty layers of orange, toasted almond, a touch of floral vanilla honey, and fresh sawdust.
Finish
Spices linger, with soft almond sponge cushioning a touch of peppery heat.
