Knob Creek Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an utter classic small batch whiskey from Jim Beam, first created by Booker Noe and introduced in 1992. It was named after the creek which flows near where Abraham Lincoln grew up.
Quite spicy and sweet. Melted salty butter on granary toast, toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness.
Peppy and full. Notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak.
Long with a touch of dryness, nut oils and vanilla spice.
I don’t Get the hype around this bourbon. Buffalo trace is a much better bourbon at a cheaper price. At this price I would buy Woodford reserve or even the over priced gentleman jack instead. I’m glad I had it but I wouldn’t buy again unless I see it at £25 or less (I paid £33)
Wonderful rich, complex, smoky taste. Alcohol burn drops off quickly, not too sweet, nice hint of oak aftertaste.
You, the new things (no age, etc.) do not boast of me!
I had the 9 year before and it's great. The one without 9 year taste like any generic bourbon. I return the bottle immediately after a shot.
Even at 100 proof, this is very good bourbon.:-)
