Um whisky com excelente entrega no olfato, potente e zero percepção de álcool, porem ao ser um ex borubon temos um whisky simples, eu diria que é um whisky simplesmente bem feito, claras nuances de especiarias, um amadeirado pesado que chega a deixa-lo terroso, toofe abundante, figos e damasco, muito dulçor, mas no paladar ele é seco, adstringente, picante e sutilmente amargo, mostrando que talvez tenhamos um peso exacerbado sobre os barris first fill que compõem o whisky. Eu definitivamente chamaria esse whisky de um bom whisky simples...
Can't believe I'm the first to review this fantastic find, which I bought in the equally-fantastic Master of Malt flash sales. It's shot to the top of my tasting leader board for sheer value for money combined with originality, flair, confidence - whisky like a brash new Michelin chef would make it. Want to try the Solist expression now.
