Description
A splendid batch of Kilkerran Heavily Peated single malt from Campbeltown's Glengyle distillery. Predominantly matured in bourbon casks, these heavily peated cask-strength batches are released twice per year.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
In typical Kilkerran style, there is a citrus element on the nose with notes of lemon and key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.
Palate
There are notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate, with hints of vanilla and custard.
Finish
The smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.
