“I have never had a bad Kilchoman, and this one is another great pleasure. Full six year maturation in QC has made this an amazing dram. Full on peppery and spicy, but with alluring vanilla and sweet peat smoke. I loved the first Original Cask Strength, but this second one is another cut above. Grab it while you can!”

Kilchoman 6 Year Old 2010 Original Cask Strength

This is the second edition of Kilchoman's Original Cask Strength expression. The first one was drawn from ex-bourbon barrels, while this second edition was aged for over 6 years in quarter casks and then bottled at natural cask strength!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Caramel coated apples, smoky barley, peppercorns.

Palate

Apricot, more apples, layers of robust peat smoke.

Finish

Loads of vanilla with a little bit of tropical fruit tucked away. An elegant waft of peat appears later on.
