Kilchoman 100% Islay - 5th Edition

Kilchoman 100% Islay #5 Bottling Note

This is the 5th edition of Kilchoman's very popular 100% Islay series, released in 2015 - the year of Kilchoman's 10th anniversary, we'll have you know! A lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky, made with barley which was grown on Islay, distilled by Kilchoman and matured in a mixture of fresh and refill bourbon barrels, filled in 2009 and 2010. It was bottled without any of that chill-filtration or any of those additional colours at all.

Mr Distillery Swallow

Light delicious and complex. If whisky was the Mona Lisa, this is it!

Very peaty nose with a hint of floral. Eye opening taste that left the tip of my tongue tingling. Smooth going down. Very interesting whiskey. Would love to taste with a group of friends. Mild flavor. This one is hard to rate because I've never experienced anything like it before. Would definitely drink again. Rating it high for originality.
