Kilbeggan 8 Year Old is a stunning single grain Irish whiskey (you may have previously known it as Greenore 8 Year Old). A hugely enjoyable expression, with plenty of honey, vanilla, tropical fruit, almond and spiced oak notes - certainly deserving of your shelf-space.
Lemon sponge, honeyed cereal, vanilla and a little caramel. Toasted oak, banana and tropical fruit. Fairly light, but full of flavour - very nice indeed!
Sweet, smooth vanilla before spicy oak comes in. Touches of menthol and coconut ice.
Long with maple and pecan, milk chocolate and a hint of salinity.
A sensational grain whiskey this, top stuff!

A pleasant whisky to enjoy on the patio. Nice and sweet, reminds me of a fine Cognac.
Quite different to malts. I used to drink but very pleasant. Honey and caramel.i
Before going on a holiday in the countryside I bought a bottle of this on a whim and I wish I hadn't. I was only able to choke it down with copious amounts of water to dilute the roughness. Haven't touched it since returning and I can't see myself having any again. This is such poor quality it makes me embarrassed to be Irish. Avoid.
Much more than one would normally expect from a grain whisky and still stands out as uniquely grain; praise doesn't get much higher than this in my vocabulary.
Yeah, I don't belive that this should be allowed to be called whisky. Never tasted anything quite as bad. However, I think that this would work as an excellent degreaser.
