Noah's Mill (70cl) Reviews

Outstanding

Outside of a pappy van Winkle this is the best bourbon I have ever tasted

My no1 now

Amazing. Was initially worried it may be overpowering considering percentage. But far from. The taste is easily my best now. Was kentucky owl confiscated, but this trumps on smell initial taste and after taste. Truly stunning highly recommended. Even better with a Norlan glass and one rock.

A great higher proof bourbon

I know some people have compared this to rowans creek but to my mind the extra money is well worth it. That extra 7% is not over powering and this bottle gives a pour that is still smooth and creamy unlike some of the other cask strength offering.

5*

I have recently bought a bottle after lots of homework and careful study of reviews of Noahs Mill.
I am reluctantly writing this as I'd prefer no one knows how good this bourbon is!!
I'm buying another bottle immediately, and hope no one reads this.
This bourbon is way above fine malts such as Macallan triple cask, far better than any other bourbon I've tried.
On the nose almost toffee apple, taste, cinnamon and cardamom Followed by honey.
Noahs Mill I doth my cap to thee, grade A

Don't hesitate with this one!

I'm providing this as a novice; no pretence of really understanding the intricacies of bourbon appreciation. I can't pretend to identify and isolate many of the flavours MoM articulate, but this is a seriously rich and complex offering. The 'smell' is delightful and I'm finding that allowing the flavour to settle on the tongue is an essential part of the experience; as opposed to necking the stuff. I don't agree with adding water, this flattened the experience for me. With it belonga Noah, perhaps I ought to have bought two.

Amazing

Wow - I’ve had a fair few bourbons, including the basic Blantons, but this is something else entirely. For the abv I expected it to be super thin & alcohol tasting, but it’s thick & the caramel was evident immediately on the nose. Would 100% recommend this - for special occasions. Superb stuff & straight into my #1 spot. Instead of buying 2 reasonable bottles get just 1 of these for the same price! You won’t regret it.

Fantastic. Only gets better

A fantastic bourbon. Even better after the bottle's been open for a day or two.
Highly recommended

Proof of brilliance

Spectacular. My special-occasion whiskey. Big looping swirls of almost bubblegummy sweetness, with rich vanilla-inflected spice. Stunning.

57.15%...anyone else notice that? The original British "proof" measurement (mix it with gunpowder and see if it burns) happened to result in an ABV of 57.15%: that was proof spirit or "100° proof". That's not how it was defined (it was based on gravity, not ABV), but that's what it worked out at if measured as a percentage. Can't be a coincidence?

Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

My go to for special occasions. A bit pricey but worth every penny/sip. Should probably be more expensive, thank goodness it’s not.
