Released as part of The Special Wood Series from Jura, this expression is finished in French oak casks. Wood from the Quercus Robur oak tree, native to central France, imparts a gentle spice to the finished whisky. With a balance of sweetness and subtle smoke, this is a fine little sipper from the distillery on the island which shares its name.
Gently floral with fresh apples, pears, and plums.
Caramel and vanilla combine with smoked oak and a pinch of lime zest, followed by tingly baking spices.
Warming spice, delicate smoke, dried apricots, honey, and pepper.

Another indistinguishable Jura expression. Very disappointing from the distillery that probably got me into drinking Scotch more than any other. There are a variety of independently bottled whiskies for a similar price that offer a lot more than this uninspiring whisky.
