Jura The Paps Bottling Note

From the Isle of Jura range of whiskies originally released for the Travel Retail market comes a 19 year old single malt named after the famous Paps of Jura on the western side of the island. It was allowed a finishing period in casks that were previously home to 40 year old Pedro Ximénez sherry.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Quince jam, a light waft of toasted oak smokiness, juicy prune and oily walnut.

Palate: Subtle green apple sharpness, swiftly balance by layers of thick caramel and chocolate chip cookie dough.

Finish: Savoury hints of sea salt and rye spice develop on the finish, though it remains chocolatey.

Jura 19 Year Old The Paps Reviews

Don’t miss this one.

Nothing subtle about this one. Heat is nonexistent with a incredibly long sweet finish. These spirits are best shared with friends, unless you only have one bottle. 😂 scored this bottle in a duty free shop on the way home from Scotland.

Very smooth. Great flavor.

My brother who lives in the UK brought a bottle for me...incredibly smooth! I am no expert, but I am certain of what I like. Definitely one I am going to ask for again because I can’t get it here in the US. Excellent bottle!!

Took some getting used to. Now I love it. Don't love the price though. Could be about $20-30 less.

Another nice single malt from jura

Love it, dark chocolate, caramel, black pepper. Strong flavours but smooth.

This is possibly one of the best malts I have ever had, exceptionally smith and very much tastes of caramel. Love it!
It’s all about personal taste at the end of the day but pay no attention to the 1 star review, they obviously have an extremely different view of what an exceptional malt should taste like!

Obtained on a tour of the distillery, this malt is a fine accompaniment when eating spicy pizza! Seriously!

Very bad

Terrible for the price, better £20 blended about. Very harsh on the tongue and tastes of very bad coffee.
