Johnnie Walker Blenders' Batch - Bourbon Cask & Rye Finish 1L
Johnnie Walker gets experimental with this Blenders' Batch Bourbon Cask and Rye Finish. A blend from five distilleries, including Dufftown and Port Dundas, was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in rye casks, for a Scotch whisky full of American bourbon and spicy rye character. This is a litre bottle of the stuff, which is a great sipper, but also works rather well in a Scotch twist on a Manhattan.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Drizzles of caramel, sticky heather honey, and spiced fruit compote.
Palate
Sweet oaky vanilla, with apples and dried orchard fruits. Warm baking spices build, joined by peppery rye.
Finish
The spices linger, alongside golden caramel.
