No it isn't nice neat, no cheap blends are and most whiskies aren't the best without having about 25%-30% water added. Add that amount of water to your glass and it makes it a smoother drink and you get a bit of toffee and light peaty flavours. Decent entry whisky, just don't pay more than Teachers
I would say it is value for money. You are not getting something like Laphroaig but at this price, it provides a rich taste with a hint of smoke. I specially like its finish, which is surprisingly better and longer than I expected in the price range.
It is an excellent whisky. It is strong yet mellow. It is sweet, gentle and soft. It's a soothing poem.It is simple, innocent yet unique.
So harsh on the palate. Truly the worst scotch ever made for the price!
Rather rough. It´s okay as a mixer but not much else. I´d rate Ballantines´s and Teachers ahead of it.
