A delicious blend made with a good amount of pure potstill Irish whiskey. Jameson Gold Reserve is sublime stuff, and it was awarded a massive 94 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.

Forget the small batch or the more expensive Jameson 18yo (the former is a bit unbalanced and the latter is underwhelming for the price). It's subtle (I get hints of apricot/peach along with "honeymalt" on the palate) and not as big a sherry bomb as some due to the virgin oak. But it's a beautiful easy drinking smooth sipper (which, in my opinion, is what Irish Whiskey should be all about). Hell, I reckon you could gargle this like mouthwash and still not feel any afterburn. Will buy it again.

Maybe I expected too much... It is OK, pot still and sherry are there, but this whiskey is lacking something...finish! That's it! If you want easy sipping "fast" whiskey - this one is for you. Don't expect fireworks...
Had this on a shelf for quite a while. Decided to pour a splash tonight while I wait for my Crested Ten in the mail. I'm not one for easily picking flavors out of the spirits, but this is one of my favorites so far.
Bought two bottles in Mexico while on vacation, $75.00 USD each but it was well worth it. very smooth, now where to get it in Calgary Alberta Canada!
