Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A full and floral nose leads with the smooth sweetness of marmalade and fudge before a hint of Madeira and a little cut grass note emerge.

Palate: Thick and of good body with notes of orchard fruits, both fresh and cooked with a little vanilla cream.

Finish: Medium-length with spice and honey.

Jameson Irish Whiskey Reviews

Overrated whisky tastes like turpentine. Not nice one the nose and no real taste or complexity to it wouldn't recommend

Tip Top

I have a lot of catching up to do with drinking this whisky, it is smooth I drink it with ice and I love it.

Best value whiskey out there

It's a quality whiskey at an entry level price point. To my mind, it's the best mainstream "cheap" whiskey out there, particularly for anyone that's just starting into whiskey and a great benchmark to measure against any whiskies you're trying that are 5-20 quid more expensive.
You'll likely find plenty you enjoy more than this over time but it's a brilliant one to start off on when you're still figuring out what exactly you're looking for in a whiskey. And even then, when you can occasionally pick up a jameson on sale for about 20 euro or so you'll still probably go back.
And for people that don't really love the taste of whiskey it goes very well with ginger ale and a wedge of lime.

Its not that this is not my thing, but this really is bad. No real flavour, nothing special on the nose. I really enjoyed Jamesons stout edition so was hoping for more. Very dissapointed.

Perfect whiskey

Jameson is my favourite whiskey I always add a touch of water to make the perfect drink for me .

A solid Irish whiskey. Good for starting whiskey, allows you to train your pallet, without being blown away with complex nuances

Jameson Triple Distilled - (On The Nose) floral notes, fruity apple-ish notes with a little lemon, sweetness, vanilla, butter, cream, fudge, toffee, baking spice. (Palate) warm Christmas spice, vanilla, nutmeg, fruity notes, a little cream

I used to drink this in my thirties when I was a beginner with whiskey. I also drank Canadian Club.
I now drink JW Black Label and Jura Journey, Cardhu Gold Reserve etc
I bought a bottle Jameson's tonight after a 25 year gap and I must say I am struck by how lacking in aroma and flavour it is compared to a decent blended or cheaper single malt Scotch. its not unpleasant , its just a non event in the palate. Sorry guys...

For someone who’s only had jack Daniels it’s a good introduction to whiskey

Smooth, creamy and spot on!

Smooth and creamy with hints of vanilla and ginger biscuit. A fine, easy drinking Irish blended whiskey that’s available everywhere, and for good reason!
On its own, with water or over ice. All good. Jameson and ginger ale is a popular mix if you like that sort of thing. Highly recommended!
