The Jack Daniel's range grew in 2017 with the introduction of their Tennessee Rye whiskey - the first whiskey from the distillery with a mash-bill that different from the classic Tennessee Whiskey since Prohibition! It features a core of 70% rye, supported by 18% corn and 12% malted barley, and enjoys the same charcoal filtration as their other expressions.
Fried banana, hot chocolate and a hint of toasted grain.
Drying cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by more chocolatey notes. A touch of cooked apple appears later on.
Black pepper and spicy oak.

Jack Daniels has a mainstream reputation that could make new whisky drinkers want to serve it. But you don't get to be one of the world brand leaders if your product is duff. Step away from the old no7 and the honeied stuff, and you'll find some surprisingly good entries. This particular bottle isn't a bad little addition to the J.D family. It's a good rye for the entry price. Of course there's better for around the £50 mark but give this one a go. The banana is there on the nose. Dried banana. Full bodied and spicey in the mouth and the hot peppery finish you'd expect from a rye. Very morish, very nice. Reviewer: M Horrell
Very nice to drink and does not make me feel drunk at all thank you.
Pleasant spicyness with a strong spirit finish
Absolutely awful stuff
