Frank Sinatra was a long time fan of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and was often seen sipping a glass of it on stage while singing 'Fly Me To The Moon' or 'My Way'. He even kept a stash of the classic whiskey on his private plane to enjoy while on the way to his next show, which would certainly beat a plastic cup of warm wine any day.
Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select has been created in honour of this friendship with Old Blue Eyes. The bold, smooth qualities of the Sinatra Select come from the specially made Sinatra barrels in which part of the whiskey was aged. Deep grooves were cut into the staves of the casks, increasing the amount of exposure the whiskey had to the wood. It is then married with Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 and bottled at 45% abv, which is how Sinatra would have enjoyed it back in the day.
So put on a Sinatra LP, sip some Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select and raise a glass to the man with one of the best voices the world has ever known.
Nose: Soft honey, fresh apples and a bold oak note at the centre.
Palate: Yummy butterscotch notes which turn into yummier caramel notes, rich and warm. Hints of orange zest and a subtle smokiness.
Finish: Packed with vanilla and smooth as Sinatra's voice.
Overall: Frank could easily have been looking into the future at the Sinatra Select when he sung 'The Best Is Yet To Come', but it's here now for you to enjoy!

Smoothly, silky and just enough of smoky dryness to keep you coming back for more.

Amazing... Very smooth..

Was offered a small glass of this earlier this year, usually don't drink whiskey straight or on ice, but was curious about it. Glad I did. Smooth as silk, a whiskey you save for special occasions. Will be giving this away as Christmas presents for friends near and dear to me.

I have enjoyed Sinatra Select for some years. It is my "special occasion" sip and never on ice. Single barrel and gentleman jack are fine but do not have the extra flavor

Excellent straight up or over cube of ice. Pairs great with medium to full bodied cigar. I am a JD Single Barrel fan but this is an excellent special occasion choice. Smooth with no after taste. A real winner.

Beautiful neat. Great on a boulder.

I'm a huge fan of the JD Single Barrel. It's my go to drink & I keep a steady supply around. Occasionally I wander off the reservation & grab something like this when I desire to try something new to expand my range. I wish I'd skipped this, sadly. After trying it multiple times neat, w/ a cube of ice, & w/ whiskey stones - I'm left underwhelmed. It has all of the bite of #7 & none of the character of the SB.The best review I read alluded to it tasting as if someone rushed something cooking in a slow-cooker. Makes perfect sense. I wish I'd gotten 3 Single Barrels instead of this - which is a huge bummer. I'll continue to make my way through it over time - but it definitely did not live up to my expectations.

+1 to the previous post. I bought it in February 2016, such a disappointment.

My 1st 2 bottles in 2015 were as smooth & mellow as claimed, as I remember way back when. However, my recently bought bottle in January 2016 was raspy & irritating as the current cheaper JD, which I no longer can tolerate. JD's STOOOOPID placement of the lot numbers on the INSIDE of the front label makes it ALL BUT IMPOSSIBLE to retrieve for analysis & comparison to previous bottles. I RETURNED THE ROTGUT BOTTLE, NEVER AGAIN TO DRINK ANY KIND OF JACK DANIELS AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!!!!!!

Am recently becoming more fond of blends and bourbons, and this is a great example of the latter, very drinkable

I'm not one to try and figure out what all the subtle tastes and flavors are in a whiskey, I just like to drink it. Sinatra Select by Jack Daniels is smooth, smooth, smooth.

I received this as a gift from my father in law for Christmas. This is an amazing whiskey. I have over a hundred bottles in my collection and this is one of the top ones. Just fantastic.

Jack Daniels Sinatra is the most amazing taste to embrace my palate. I am a long time Jack Daniels drinker but this batch has raise the bar for any distributer or distillery that ever created a barrel.

finally got hold of a bottle waiting for a good reason to open it. had a taste at the savoy in London it is lush

I was expecting to be disappointed - as I was with JW Blue Label - but this was a great drink. Smooth doesn't describe the ease with which it can drank. The flavors are all you need notice (despite it being 90 proof). This is the kind you like to keep on the shelf as a go to nightcap.

Based solely on product quality alone I think its a great addition to the Jack family that vastly surpasses the single barrels with improved balance and smoothness. Quality alone- 8.5 to 9Now this second part is hard because I try not to review things with too heavy an emphasis on price but because this is so extremely out of whack I felt compelled. I really have a problem with the price. I got mine at $166 which is much less than the one listed here and even despite that I think its a ridiculous price. This stuff is quality no doubt but shouldn't even be sniffing the $150 range. Only buy this stuff if your sitting on a ton of money, a collector, or gifting it to someone who has been having a life long affair with Jack Daniels. Adjusted review based on product quality vs. price is a firm 6.5. There are just far too many bottles of equal or better quality to be had for MUCH less.

This was a recent gift and i would choose to buy again after tasting this. Wonderfully smooth although lacking the complexity of top single malts. The best JD i have tasted - I have a bottle of the Monogram stored away, it would be great to compare it to this

I believe it is better than any other Jack Daniel's on the market. I have heard others say the Single Barrel Select is better, but the oak mixing with the vanilla, butterscotch, and a hint of subtle smokiness is more appeasing to my palate.

I had this given to me as a gift for my 40th Birthday; it starts well balanced and goes down silky-smooth with a nice lingering taste. Definitely something to drink cleanly while enjoying a good cigar.A true tribute to Mr. Sinatra.
