Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey has been made at its Lynchburg distillery since 1875. The branding and original label, sometimes referred to as No. 7 or Black Label; has made its way into pop culture, with merchandise sold the world over and a history of association with music. Frank Sinatra was even buried with a bottle. The Tennessee whiskey makers use a mash bill made up of 80% corn, 12% rye, and 8% malt to create Jack Daniels whiskey, which is then filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal to produce a mellow, slightly smoky character. A method known as the Lincoln County Process, it means this is not a bourbon, but instead meets the legal definition of a Tennessee whiskey. Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel ( c. January 1849 – October 9, 1911) was an American distiller and businessman, best known as the founder of the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey distillery.
Light with plenty of sweetness. There are hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.
Quite smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.
Sweet with a little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

The only use I see for this bourbon is mixing it with Cola for the sole purpose to get drunk. This is not something you want to drink straight. Even on the rocks it isn't pretty. It has a very strong, nasty, grainy palate. Swallowing it makes my throat sticky and it has a very sour after-taste, almost as if I just swallowed glue rather than bourbon. I have no idea how this website describes this bourbon as sweet. There's nothing sweet about this.
Harsh. The nose isn’t pretty but still way better than the chemical taste of it. I don’t know about prices in the US but I don’t see why anyone would buy this for a second time. Get yourself a bottle of Monkey Shoulder, Black Label or even Jamesons at roughly the same price and thank me later.
Foul. Drain cleaner.
Consistant and comparatively a good deal
Tastes like bananas, the essence of boil in the bag Shepherds Pie, oh it tickles the palette like a wedge of Rochefort cheese.......... what kind of rubbish is that? To quote Mr Salt (played by the legendary Roy Kinnear) in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, Jack Daniels gets me drunk and may or may not, make me attractive to women.
