Campbeltown Loch Blend Bottling Note

A tremendous blended malt from J and A Mitchell, the folks behind Springbank Distillery. Combining a wealth of incredible Campbeltown single malts from the region's three distilleries and matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, this expertly blended expression boasts an array of classic Campbeltown characteristics. Marrying maritime coastal notes with hints of sweet peat, soft fruits, and spice, it's a must-try for any Campbeltown fan.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Soft peach, apricot, and floral honey with zesty notes of lemon meringue and just a touch of salty soot.

Palate Oily with herbaceous hints creeping in beneath sweet vanilla caramel and juicy baked fruit. Seaweed salinity and sweet baking spice bring balance, with whispers of peat poking through.

Finish Whisps of ginger and nutmeg, sweet tea, oatcakes, and subtly smoky oak.

Reviews for Campbeltown Loch Blended Malt
Very much welcome release for a fan of the region.
Long awaited, tasty whisky. Bags of sweet flavours as listed in the tasting notes and very more-ish. Sometimes the ethanol is a bit to the fore, but the fruit and peat punch back to tickle the palate. It's certainly no "hotter" than Longrow but neither is it as peaty: I love Longrow but it's a rare treat!
I have long awaited the return of "Mitchell's" Blend. This "upgraded" Campbeltown Loch fills that gap admirably.
Need another bottle now!

It looks like Campbeltown is going to be another go-to for me.
With a nose and palate affected by 40 years of metallurgical and chemical attack I struggle to detect a lot of substances that others can. There's smoke, salt, peat and citrus which I like; so that's all it takes to tick my boxes. Great value.
