While its own whisky matures, Isle of Skye Distillers has found something to make the wait more agreeable. The team behind Misty Isle gin presents Isle Wait, a sourced single malt Scotch with gentle peat, bright fruit and a maritime character. The distillery behind the liquid remains unnamed, but the name of the whisky is clever, no?

Nose

Orange and apricot, with a coastal seaweed note, gentle smoke, honey and vanilla.

Palate

Bright citrus and warming oak spice, followed by richer, sweeter smoke.

Finish

Honey and smoke, with a savoury coastal edge.
