Reviews for Islay Storm
Disppointing
Not as vibrant as The English Smokey. Not bad, but just not as good.
Lots of fuss about Islay peat whiskies. Not sure why.

Really quite nice.
Not a bad drop. Wasn't taken by anything in particular but I did keep returning to the bottle night after night for at tipple. Was dissapointed when it was all gone.

Does what it says on the tin
If, like I do, you come on here to decide whether or not to buy something, I can tell you that if you like Islay whisky, then you will like this.

Great taste and value
My regular is Port Charlotte, but when I think about the difference of 59.95 for Port Charlotte vs Islay Storm for 19.99 I think I can have my first one of PC and then continue with Islay Storm. Great value and taste.

Lovely malt
Lovely easy drinking malt peat and smoke on the nose and slightly spicy and sweet on the palate

Dont like it when I run out
Talisker with less brine and salt? Oily bit thin palate growa in waves with a long lingering wave of smoke, dark salted caramel and a hint of liquorice. Just dont want to be without it. I like Laphroaig and Arbeg but this cheaper and less aggresive. The perfect opposite to Fruity orchard and citrus packed dram

As a scotch 4 stars but based on price 5
Top value. Light but smoky. Have tasted better but not at this price.

As good as any $60 Islay
Was very surprised with its clear Islay taste. I'll save the Ardbeg for myself and share this with my cigar buddies. I give it 4 stars as a scotch, but it's a 10 for the price.

A little too young to have much character, but pretty good for the price
Not bad. A little too young to have much character, but pretty good for the price (~$25 at Trader Joe's). Of course here in Kentucky you can find a better American whiskey for $25, Old Grand-dad Bonded bourbon is superb, but in this environment $25 for a single malt scotch is a steal. (In NYC I'd think somebody must've stolen it.) If this is what a "generic" Islay is like it's too bad my budget won't cover better (or at least pricier) examples of the species; I've seen 2 or 3 big-name Islays at various local Liquor Barns, but so far comparisons are silly.

Heaven in a glass!
Better than Laphroaig! A gorgeous whisky, cut with less water than I usually take or it goes 'thin'. The aroma is heavenly and the taste does not disappoint. Great value. Stunning. Ambrosia.
