Description
A Texas bourbon here, independently-bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd in London! It was distilled at Ironroot and rested in a single barrel for four years, before the cask was cracked open in 2022, yielding 137 bottles at a burly 61.2% ABV. It's a rich, sweet, and spicy affair, with jerk spices in particular, making it a fabulous whiskey to pair with Caribbean food.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted marshmallows, resinous pine, treacle, and damp earth.
Palate
Chilli heat, cinnamon, and liquorice, with a drizzle of maple syrup.
Finish
More heat, balanced by brown sugar.
