This single cask single grain Invergordon was distilled all the way back in 1988, and was then bottled by Wemyss Malts in 2018. It was then bestowed with the name Waffles & Maple Syrup as a sneaky hint towards its flavour. Delicious.
Rich and complex, warming sandalwood aromas intertwined with orange peel and kitchen spices, such as fnnel and cumin, with Christmas cake spicy sweetness coming through.
Oodles of runny honey and the maple syrup on those sweet fresh waffles, with notes of caramelised banana.
A kick of spicy heat on the finish, balanced by more sweet maple syrup and a whisper of smoke.
