Invergordon 24 Year Old 1997 (cask 18970) - The Sovereign (Hunter Laing)
A terrific single grain whisky from Invergordon independently bottled by Hunter Laing for its grain-focused The Sovereign collection! Matured for 24 years between 1997 and 2021 in a single bourbon barrel, it was finally bottled up at cask strength, without any added colour, and without chill-filtration. Creamy grain, buttery vanilla, and warming spice galore!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Flaky pastry with dollops of vanilla cream, charred marzipan, a touch of sawdust.
Palate
Chocolate digestive biscuits, roasted nuts, fragrant nutmeg welcomes the way for warming chai spices.
Finish
Buttery popcorn, toasted oak, prickles of pepper, and a sweet crunch of brown sugar.
