If you’re wondering why Wemyss Malts gave this single grain Scotch whisky such an unusual, but delightful name, it’s because with all its single cask releases, it bases the name after the flavour profile. From the Invergordon distillery, this grain whisky from the Highlands region was aged in Sherry butt, beginning in 1988. It was subsequently bottled by Wemyss Malts at 46% ABV in 2016, and 626 bottles have been released.
Brown sugar, toasted almonds, sweet dates and plums, and creamy vanilla.
Sweet wood, maple syrup, and white chocolate chips, with classic grain notes and a touch of bourbon oak, complemented with autumn spices of clove and cumin.
Decadent, rich and long; distinctive pecans are seasoned well with ginger.
