The ninth release in the Hyde series of excellent Irish whiskeys has been dubbed Iberian Cask, as this Irish single malt has been finished in casks that previously held Port. As a result, you'll be treated to tasty helpings of red fruit flavours alongside warming caramel, nectarine, and malt in every sip. A spectacular postprandial whiskey.
Blackcurrant, dried raspberry, shortbread, and cut grass.
Cooked apricot, more raspberry and a touch of honeydew melon, wrapped up in oodles of vanilla.
Some sweet spices appear on the finish.

The number 9 is an Iberian cask finish. Port influenced that’s finished for just short of a year in a Douro valley port cask. It is a solid drink that’s well worth a try. Hyde source some nice whiskeys and age them. It won a few awards in 2021 and I think it’s well deserved.
