“It's quite a gentle drink compared to most. A nice, lingering sweetness aftwards with plenty of soft smoke and peat prior to that. For me it's the perfect balance. Flavours bold enough to detect and yet subtle enough to not taste watery at all. A subtly sweet delight.”

Highland Park Voyage Of The Raven

Released for the Travel Retail market, Voyage of the Raven is a rather dramatically-named Highland Park single malt that has been matured in a rather high proportion of first-fill Sherry seasoned casks. The aforementioned dramatic name comes from the reverence that ravens received from Vikings of old.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Chocolate mousse and black cherry, with a subtle wisp of floral smoke.

Palate

Peat is still in the background, but this expression is very much a showcase of Sherried Highland Park malt.

Finish

Drying Christmas-y spices last on the finish.
