Highland Park Einar 1l

From Highland Park's travel retail Warrior series comes Einar, a bold, intense dram which has been matured mostly in American oak casks. It's packed with smoky peat, sweet vanilla, and subtle tropical fruit notes, culminating in a long, well-balanced finish of smoke and sweetness. This entry in the Warrior series is named after Einar, who once ruled over Orkney, where the Highland Park distillery resides.

Terrible dram
bought it cause i have an unopened jw blue label and this supposed to be similar. Yep, it's as terrible as the blue labe, disgusting from start to finish, can't even drink one glass of it .My faves Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Talisker smokey & beautiful.

Warrior flavors?
I’m liking this!
On the nose- new oak, leather, Indian spices.
Palate- apple, cuban cigar smoke, subtle vanilla.
Oak ‘n smoke open up more with a few drops of water, as does sweetness of the vanilla.
Long, earthy finish, with with leather and that cigar smoke lingering on the tongue.
Fits the general profile of other HPs.

Smoky notes but youngish unfortunately
Theres the smoky notes, and a little sweetness. The nose is meh. However, distracted by a youngish note. Its not baad, but certainly not worth the highish price.
Based on one dram and im hoping it gets better.

Very very smooth
Bought this on the cross chanel ferry. I was very surprised and delighted at the combination of fruity and spicey notes with a mallow smokey after taste

Drinking with the Norse Gods
Peppery, sweet fresh fruit, with the characteristic smokey influence of the HP whiskies. A dram for the most discerning whisky drinker . Today I drank with the Norse Gods and their warriors. Outstanding!

New Favorite!
Smoky, warm and delicious! Absolutely loved it. Bought a bottle at a Duty Free in Toronto, Canada and am now looking for more. Do you sell it in the States? I hope this wasn't a limited edition.

Too spicey
Not my type of whiskey. Too spicey and not fruity enough. Highland park 12 years and even vintage 1998 is better than this one..

HP Serves up another classic whisky!
Purchased a 1L bottle at the duty free and have been enjoying it daily with a drop of cool water. Sherried oak notes with an explosion of bonfire and nutty sweet fruit medley. Epic.

Delicious dram with oaky and sweet fruit mixed with a hint of smoke in the background. A true Warrior!
