    Single Malt

Highland Park 16 Year Old 2004 (cask 14601303) - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon & MacPhail)

A sherried single malt here from the Highland Park Distillery on Orkney, distilled back in 2004. It was aged in a first-fill sherry hogshead for 16 years, before being independently bottled by the long-running indie bottler, Gordon & MacPhail. Only 318 bottles were released as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Dates, walnuts, a hint of green olive underneath soft smoke.

    Palate

Quite chocolatey, though dried fruit notes remain in the vicinity. Forest floor and caraway.

    Finish

Lingering peat smoke and dark chocolate once again.
