Independently bottled single malt from Orkney's awesome Highland Park Distillery, released by Duncan Taylor for The Octave range. This one was distilled in 2006 and matured for 15 years, including five months in an octave cask (hence, The Octave – makes sense, right?), before being bottled in 2021. Just 88 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Heather honey, soft smoke with a dry hint of seaweed, waffles.
Palate
Roasted almonds, honeycomb, smoky peppercorns, a hint of liquorice.
Finish
The floral hints of heather return for the long finish.
