High Coast Sixty Three Bottling Note

Unsurprisingly, this release from Sweden's High Coast distillery has a certain affinity for the number 63. For starters, the distillery is located at 63 degrees north, while the whisky is peated at 63 ppm, and has been stored in 63 litre bourbon barrels for 63 months, 63 decimeters above the ground. Phew. Oh, and it's bottled at 63% ABV too, just for good measure. A limited 6,854 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Through apple blossom, peanut butter and sponge cake drenched in honey there’s some strawberry sweetness, zesty orange marmalade and ginger snaps.

Palate: Oak char, baking spice and burnt caramel initially, then milk chocolate, orchard fruits, honeyed sultanas and walnuts.

Finish: Spicy, a little drying and still sweet.
